All Russian car makers strike agreements on metals prices
MOSCOW, Mar 23 (PRIME) -- Russian car producers have signed agreements with metallurgic companies on metals prices at different conditions, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters Monday.
“Absolutely all producers in both car and machine building industries have signed agreements with metallurgic companies. All under very different conditions, as these agreements expire at different times…So everyone signed agreements under different terms and with a pricing formula until the end of the year,” Manturov said.
Prices for metals in rubles soared in late 2014 and early 2015 due to the ruble devaluation. After a series of meetings, the Russian government said metal producers should strike an amicable agreement with metal consumers on prices until the end of March.
